1.6 Billion Chinese Can't be Wrong

Wow, what a great adventure! Just some quick thoughts about China in general.

  1. I thought it would feel a lot more crowded. Besides the freeways and subways at rush-hour, I never felt over crowded. Even the sites like the Great Wall and Forbidden City were very manageable.
  2. Things in Beijing were very modern. Xi'an looked a little more primitive but only slightly. There wasn't any thing that we wanted in Beijing that we couldn't find.
  3. The pollution in Beijing is horrible. Some days the visibility was less than a mile in the city because of the smog. This is really too bad because it is a very aesthetically pleasing city with the mix of old and new Chinese art and architecture.
  4. When things are so inexpensive it is hard to control you spending. It seems like you are spending very little but it all adds up eventually.

Comments on the last trip were less yak-yak and more pictures so here we go.

Day 1: 26 hours, 4 movies, 3 dinners and 9440 miles

Day 2: Ti'an Anmen Square & The Forbidden City & several people taking pictures of our kids

(Written to popular “Kung Fu Fighting” song, so play it in your mind...)

Everybody love Harris movie.
Their trip looked really groovy.
Everybody want China trip now.
we all save money somehow,
to go to see this great place,
for we want smile on our face……

(transitioning to different Chinese music with Valley girl words – just imagine it in your mind...)

China cuisine like looked oh so rad and totally yummy.
I really like want some in my rockin' tummy.
The acrobats were sweet and totally awesome,
to see that show like had to be stokin' fun.
Like the roller coaster ride looked tubular and real scary,
to ride it, like dude one is definitely and totally extraordinary
You talk about hangin’ with Elder Shipley
but in all the pic's he seems to like be a total absentee...

(transitioning to different Chinese music – if you can’t imagine it in your mind, I suggest to hire someone to play that genre of music while you read this blog...)

Tyler is always so good to share the family adventures on his blog.
Even if he didn’t invite us, we can enjoy China through his travelogue.
The pictures show China has much to see and do there,
With all the interesting people, places and a panda bear.
It was obvious this trip was an amazing time-
that produced memories which will be in the Tyler Harris family for a lifetime.

You do thee best video journals. I've watched the China one ATLEAST a dozen times - mostly to see you and Chloe and Tally dance on the Great Wall of China - that's rich. The music you picked to go along w/ your pictures was perfect. I have showed it to a couple of people and they loved it too. (what else could they say I was standing right there . . . . ) I'm sooooo glad you all got to go what a great experience and what a great memory. Rose looked darling in every picture, 'specially in the walking on water!! loveyouall

I am sick and tired of all these harris blogs, where in the h . . . is the blog and pictures from the wonderful Cascade trip last summer!!! Where we at Cascade Lake for 6 hours, and at the airport for 40 hours. By the way, Betsy still has the malignant lump on her leg, don't worry though, as long as you had fun that's all that matters.
