Brown Gold found in Texas

Our house here in San Angelo has two large pecan trees out in front. Ever since we moved here the kids have been going out in the yard, picking up the pecans and throwing them at each other.
A couple of days ago I told them to pick up all the pecans so they would not break the lawn mower. Once they were all picked up I saw they had a huge heavy bag of pecans gathered up. I called a pecan plant here in town and asked them if they bought pecans. They said they did, so the kids took all of their pecans in and sold 14lbs for $9. It wasn't bad for about 20 minutes worth of work.
Now they are determined to get all of the pecans out of the trees and sell them all. The already have plans for what they will do with the money they make. Just like Hobbes (the tiger not the philosopher) said, "There are treasures everywhere."
